We had an opportunity to jump in the car with Aunt Ti Ti and head to St George this past month. What a blast we had with her & Keri and kids. We did a lot of swimming and playing in the heat and sunshine. We got to go see Little Mermaid @ Tuacahn and that was amazing.

Best avalanches & drinks ever..... If you are ever down that way I suggest you stop!

Kars & I didn't do much swimming....I'm not a water fan, but Kars loved it!

Kenadie celebrated her birthday down there. So we had cake & ice cream....YUM

Thanks everyone for the great trip...I had a lot of fun and it was good to get away from everyday life. The week went way to fast and I think I am ready to hit the road again! Ti may think other wise but.?!? :)

Kenadie turned 3 on July 19.....we were going to be out of town so we celebrated a few days early so that daddy could celebrate with us.

I think she blew out her candles 3 different times because she kept saying again.... :)

That doesn't make her 9 does it??? lol

It was so fun to see her so excited about her cake....we had to search high and low for the "perfect" cake.... we really didn't plan ahead and so we hadn't ordered one. Thanks to Lee's bakery they put one together for us with no problem.

Our so called attempt to watching the fireworks!!

We loaded up the car, went and got drinks and sandwiches and headed out to see the Logan City fireworks. We found a place on the lawn at Bridgerland.
We saw the BIG Tanker plane fly over.....

Played on the lawn with Daddy!

and just as the show was getting ready to start....everyone was tired and not having any fun....could it be because we sat there for 2 1/2 hours....

anyway we came home to do this.....

What have we been up to????

Dave stayed home from work last week because we didn't have a babysitter for the afternoon and he and Kenadie had a blast outside with the chalk.... as you can see Dave even impressed us all with a drawing of Barney...LOL

A couple of weeks ago we were able to do Karsens hand mold at a local dentist office.... Thanks Dr Porter with Hyde Park Dental.... we love it.

We went to a friends house the other day to let the kids see and ride the horses for the most part they had a lot of fun.

Kenadie was kind of scared of the whole horse thing and she wasn't into sitting on it or even being near the horse.....

This was her comfort zone

It wasn't until we were getting in the car that Kenadie decided she wanted to ride the horse so out of the car we got and she jumped on the horse and away she went and she loved it!

Wow its has been a month since I lasted blogged.....where does time go?

Kids are growing and changing so fast....

Me and my boy Dave had his 34th birthday on the 7th. We had a little party just us 4 and singing Happy Birthday solo isn't a lot of fun! LOL and you know you are getting old when you blow the candles out and then you are afraid the smoke detectors are going to go off because of the smoke. It was funny watching Dave running around trying to open doors and windows and turning the fans on because he didn't want the smoke detectors going off.

Wagon rides are my kids favorite past time, I hope the weather starts cooperating a little more so we can start getting outside more. Just "chilling"

We spent the day in Salt Lake attending Disney on Ice

Just before the show Kenadie had to hold on to the tickets and she was so happy and couldn't wait for the show to start.
Aunt Tianne and Karsen just before the doors opened. We got there early and had time to spare.....Ti, I guess we did go to early...LOL

Kenadie Loved all the toys and gadgets that were for sale I think she wanted one of everything.

Of course Minnie was the most popular and at the top of her list.

Karsen isn't such a fan of being Minnie though....

This picture is blurry but it shows just how excited she was to see Minnie, Mickey, Daisy and Goofy.... She cried when Minnie left just after the first song.

Yes I do have a daughter that is obsessed with Minnie Mouse but I love it!!!

We had a great fun filled day hanging out in Salt Lake and being able to spend time with Aunt Tianne. Thanks Ti for coming all the way from St George to go with us. We Love You and think you are great!

I ran across this the other day at Michael's and thought I would love Kenadie to paint me a picture for my wall.

She is into the word Beautiful.....she kept saying this is so beautiful.

I love the finished product and am excited to say it is hanging on my wall and both of us are so proud of it. Great job Kenadie I love it!!

We had some "FIRSTS" this week!!!

Kenadie went to the Dentist for the first time today and she did great! Was a little nervous but did everything that they wanted her today. The assistant was so good with her she explained and showed Kenadie all the tools and how they worked and was so gentle with her.

When they went to take xrays I thought for sure Kenadie would wig out but she opened her mouth and didn't even gag when they placed the bite wing in her mouth. They took 2 different xrays one they had her look at the ceiling the other one at the floor.

The Dentist came and showed her what he was going to do, he drew a face on his glove and then showed her how he was going to look around her mouth with the mirror. Kenadie opened big and just layed there. In fact he had a hard time getting her mouth closed he finally said say grrrr and bite down and she did.

The only time she cried was when he was all done and was rinsing her mouth out with water and she closed her mouth and the water ran down her neck...... lol

Good job Kenadie I am so proud of you! You were so brave.

Christmas morning me and the kids headed out to my parents house for breakfast and to just hang out and see what Santa had brought them.

I love this time of year we have to reflect on the many things that the Savior does for us and his birth. I am thankful for such wonderful parents and siblings who have helped me out so much this past few months and for a Savior who has helped me and kept me in sane and helped me through this time in my life when I needed a shoulder to cry on! I hope the year to come brings a lot of happiness to my little family.

Kenadie likes to undress and then dress her self again....she put her pants on the other night and I just had to get a picture because she did a pretty dang good job...backwards isn't a problem is it! (sorry it is sideways)

When Karsen had his Dr's appt...Kenadie was with me and as Dr Brown walked in he said hello princess and ever since then she walks around saying that, it is so cute the way she says it and I just have to smile. Another thing that makes me laugh is we were sitting on my bed and Kenadie sat up and saw her shadow so she started to wave saying hello didadee (kenadie) and she said wave mommy to didadee....she jumped off the bed and said hug didadee and then when she got over there her shadow was gone and she was looking all over for it, it was so cute!

She likes to feed her baby when ever I am feeding Karsen, the other day I was feeding him and she came in with her baby and pulled up her shirt and put her baby up to feed and then started saying ouch, ouch, ouch. I guess I better be careful with the things I say because she repeats everything. She is growing up to fast and I never thought I would be a mother to a 2 yr old who thinks she rules the roost! But I love every minute (most of them) lol that I get to spend with her.

Lamb Family get-together up at Lions Park

We had a fun time getting together with my side of the family for family night and to celebrate birthdays. We had roasted hot dogs and marshmallows....yummy!
Kenadie's first time having a roasted marshmallow...not a real fan!

All in all we are doing good. Loving being at home with my kiddo's, I found out I don't have to be back to work until Sept 28 so that gives me a few extra weeks to enjoy every minute of them.

Karsen went in for his 2 week check and his weight was 6 lbs 8 oz. wasn't quite back to birth weight yet so we had to go back in 3 days later for a weight check and he was up to 6lbs 12 oz. He is just a sleepy guy that he forgets that he is eating and falls asleep so I have had to wake change a few things to keep him awake. His jaundice is getting better, and I am glad that we never had to have the lights at our house! He is a very good baby hardly ever cries and is very content with just watching what is going on around him. We love him and glad he is in our family!!!

Going home....

Never thought I would be bringing home a healthy little baby!

First day home....oh so tired but doing great!!!

Checked into the hospital at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, very nervous but also very excited. Got everything ready to go and walked back to the operating room at 3 p.m., got on the table and it took him 3 tries to get my spinal block in, I was dying and ready to be done with it all finally my legs were going numb and I gave a huge sigh of relieve! I think that took longer than actually getting Karsen out! He came out and was grunting a little for oxygen so unfortunately I was unable to really see him or hold him for 3 hours. He was in the nicu with the c-pap on. Dr Brown came up and said he was doing great and that Karsen would be in my room in 20 minutes. After that I had a very hard time letting him leave my room, attached all ready!!! He is a very good sleeper and a very awful eater. I don't know who gets frustrated more me or him. I think we are finally getting the hang of it though. I am feeling great my C-Section scar is a little tender but nothing I am unable to handle. Boy do I love being a mom!!!

The day has finally come and I am super excited but very nervous....I am having a c-section today. I had a Dr.'s appt yesterday and was dilated to a 3 and 90% effaced and my Dr didn't think we should wait any longer, I am 37 wks and 3 days.
This has been a very long pregnancy and I couldn't have done it without the help of my Heavenly Father and all of you family and friends. The prayers have been heard and answered and the love that has been shown and felt will never be forgotten! Thanks everyone....we love you all!!! Boy now that I am crying......Lets go have a BABY!!! LOL

I am 36 wks along tomorrow and still no baby, I guess that is good but I am really getting tired of it at this point. My Doctor released me to go back to work Monday 8-9-10 that way I can save my time off for when I have this baby. I will only have 4 wks off with him which really makes me sad!

Just a short update on our fun Dr's appts this week.

Kenadie went for her 2 yr check

weight 25 lbs 9 oz = 35%, length 33 1/2 =51%, head circ 48 =77%

she is doing great keeping up with the kids her age....yipee!

I had an ultrasound on Monday things looked great baby is head down and is weighing in at a whopping 5 lbs 1 oz. I saw my Dr on Wednesday and he checked me and said I was dilated to a 1 and 50% effaced. My Dr is going out of town again Aug 5-8 and I better by darn not have this baby while he is away!!! just my luck things will happen. Lets hope it happens before or the day he gets back which would be 8-9-10 :) my goal!!!

Ok.....so I have been a big slacker at blogging, you would think I have all the time in the world with being down to blog....sorry folks, I will try to be better.....so what have we been up to!?

So as you can tell we have been very busy or should I say Grandma & Grandpa & Daddy have been very busy keeping Kenadie happy!

As far as the news on the baby (aka Karsen) my Dr's appt. today was good, no changes and he said things look great and he thinks I am going to be having a August baby. He still wants me down as much as possible but he said he understands if I "need" to go shopping for an item. LOL

I did have to go and have the 3 hour glucose test done but the results came back with everything being normal....I tell you it was the steroid!

I am 32 wks and 4 days and have made it to my goal of the baby being able to stay in Logan when he is born. Now I have a goal of delivering on 8-9-10 wouldn't that be an awesome birthday?! I go in for another ultrasound on July 26th to check the growth of baby and then see my Dr again on the 28th of July.

Just a short update about my fun filled day. I headed to the hospital for the glucose testing, ultrasound, stress test & steroid shot. Karsen passed the stress test and he looked great on the ultrasound. He has chubby cheeks and is weighing in at 3 lbs. 6 oz. Everything looked great with the rest of the exam, bed rest is working.....I told my mom that I need to go shopping and this is Dave and Karsen's way of keeping me out of the stores, Dave is teaching him early hahahaha....JK I didn't pass the glucose test I was 148 and high normal is 138. I am hoping that I don't have to do the 3 hour test :( I think she gave the steroid shot to soon before they drew the blood. They said it can make my sugar high....but who knows...not fun is all I know!

Here's the updated scoop..... Went to the doctors yesterday and he checked my cervix and all was well there and he also did another fetal fibronectin test and that came back NEGATIVE again so that makes me smile. The plan is...... next week I will go and have another ultrasound to check his measurements and the cervix again, then I will go and start another round of steroids and then I get to go and have the glucose test at the lab.....oh what a fun filled day that will be. I lost 8 pounds from my last visit 3 wks ago, I was a little shocked but Dr Kirkman said he wasn't to concerned at this point. I talked him into moving my due date up to Sept 5....that will buy me 4 days- anything to stay at Logan if he does come early! So as of right now I am 29 wks 5 days. So the appt went good I was really nervous when I went but very relieved when I left his office. Thanks for your continued prayers and support they are working!
Kenadie has been a real trooper through all this change that has been happening, she is a little confused when bed time comes she wants to be with me but she also wants to be with Grandma she runs back and forth from each room crying. I am sure she is lost and unsure of what is happening but she has been very good for what we are all dealing with.

I'm back for the time being.... after a 3 day hospital stay, they did another ultrasound and found that bed rest was working so I was released to go home on bed rest. I am staying with my parents during the week while Dave is working then I will be going home on the weekends. Hoping I don't out stay my welcome with my parents, they have been so good with helping me and keeping my busy little girl happy! I will see the doctor again on Wednesday and have another set of steroids on Friday. Just wanted to thank EVERYONE for your concern and prayers they truly have been felt and appreciated. I have the best friends and family anyone could ask for! I was hoping to get out of having a baby early this time but looks like that is what I have in store. I only hope I can make it to 32 weeks so that this little guy will be able to stay close to home~only 26 days to go and counting!
Just a special thanks to my wonderful mother....I am so glad she was with me when I had my ultrasound and had this all come crashing down on me. I was so emotional and scared and having her there and her support truly helped me!!! Thanks mom I love you!

Hello everyone, this is Hollie's sister Tianne. I just wanted to update you all on what is going on Hollie went for a complete OB ultrasound today and didn't receive the news she wanted! The babies head is down really low and the doctor is questioning whether the sac is making its way out. Her cervix is down to a 1.6 and the doctor is really concerned. Hollie has been admitted to the hospital for a few days and placed on complete bed rest. She will be checked again on Wednesday to determine how things are going. The doctor is hoping to keep the baby in for 3 more weeks. Hollie is 27 4/7 days pregnant but is measuring 28 3/7 days. The baby is weighing in at 2 lbs and 10 ounces. She has had her first round of steroids which is a blessing.

Please keep Hollie and the baby in your prayers.

Had my Doctors appt today (26 wks along today)....He checked my cervix and he said it was soft but is normal for this stage of pregnancy and then he did an ultrasound and 2wks ago the cervix measured 3.1 today it is 2.85 so it is still thinning :( He did the fibronectin test and the results came back NEGATIVE.....thank heavens no baby for at least 2 wks!!! I will see my doc again in 2 wks and he wants to do a complete ob ultrasound to check the weight of our little guy and then we will start the betamethason (sp) shots I will get one at 28 wks and then again at 31 wks. Just thought I would update you on this little adventure of ours :)

Things at our house are going. Not alot to say but I thought it was time for a post. Kenadie is growing like a weed and is so grown up. She just gabs and gabs.

Last week we all had the yucky flu bug that kind of got us all down started with Kenadie and worked its way to me and then Dave. Got to love it!

As far as the baby aspect of things, I had my Dr's appt last Tuesday and he did an ultrasound and looked at my cervix and when I saw the Perinatologist it was a 4 and 3 wks later it measured 3.1 So my Dr was a little concerned that it had changed that much, he said 3.1 was still normal but to have it change that much in 3 weeks was concerning, so he told me to take it easy and not over do anything and with any sign of anything to call him. I go back in a week and he is going to do the fibronectin test and then start the betamethason shot if that comes back positive and then get me out of Cache Valley. I sure hope things stay put and nothing is changing inside~I am only 24 wks 3 days today and I don't want this baby early, you would think going through it once would be enough for us! I just am hoping and praying that things will be good!

Well, we had our appt. with the Perinatologist today and it went good, nothing was said that I didn't already know. He talked about the progesterone shot~which I am already doing. He told me I have a 25% chance of delivering early. Things with the litle guy looked good it was kind of funny when the Dr walked into the room we were just looking to make sure he was still a he and the Dr said well that for sure isn't a turtle sticking his out of his shell that there is a BOY! Kind of made me chuckle. The babe is measuring 21 weeks 2 days just a few days ahead of schedule and he weighs in at a whopping 14 ounces. Hopefully I will be able to keep this little guy in for a good while and I will be in the 75% of that statistic :) Happy Day!!!

Not a lot happening but having lots of fun!

Things are going great at our house we are loving the spring weather and Kenadie is loving the outdoors.

Things with me & the baby are going good I started the progesterone shots a couple of weeks ago I have 1 shot every week for 13 wks in hopes it will help me keep the pregnancy full term.

I did start having contractions/pain yesterday that made me nervous because I am only 20 weeks, I called the doctor and come to find out I have a bladder infection that is more than likely the culprit of it all. I see the Perinatologist on Tuesday next week and hope he will have good things to tell me and no worries. I am excited to have another ultrasound and see this little guy it just has been to long~4ks since I have had a peak....LOL

SPRING FEVER!!

Kenadie has spring fever soooo bad you open the door and she is gone running down the driveway. And she doesn't like to be caught! Today Dave decided he would take her out and just let her wander the yard....Kenadie LOVED it!!!

Not a lot happening at our house just the same old stuff. We are trying to fight these darn colds we all have had and we cant seem to get rid of them! On the baby end I guess things are going good I am sicker than I ever was with Kenadie and it is making it really hard! I see the Dr again on Wednesday and they will do another ultrasound and hopefully we will be able to peak and see what it is I am only 13 wks and it is early but my co-workers in ultrasound say you should be able to tell by now what gender it is. Keeping my fingers crossed :)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....

I love this time of year! I love Thanksgiving because it makes me stop and really think about the many things I am grateful for! I am thankful for everyday miracles...It seems we have been so blessed this past year and a half. I am very thankful to my Heavenly Father for his watchful care and for his love he has blessed me with. I am forever grateful for this sweet angel that has brought so much joy and love into our hearts and home, she is such an amazing little girl and i am thankful she is mine! I am thankful for my husband for the love he shows me and for the great father he is to our daughter. I am thankful for the most amazing parents and such great siblings that care for one another and for the great moments and family traditions we share. I don't know what I would do without them! These are just a few on my list but I will quit boring you with them! :)
This year we spent thanksgiving with the Kelly's it was a lot of fun to go down and spend the night and to enjoy their company. We had a small group....Mom & Dad Kelly, Mishell and us, the food was great and the company grand!

They have a tradition at their house every year that they put a puzzle together, they start the night before and finish on Thanksgiving, it kept everyone pretty occupied. Everyone but Kenadie she was all over the house and I was chasing her.

MY LITTLE AGGIE!!!

Saturday was the USU homecoming parade and so Keri's family, Kenadie and I went to join in the fun. I left my house at 8:30 to go and get a good seat (the parade started at 10) We sat in front of the tabernacle...way cool seats and you could hear the announcer and music. Well let me just tell you.......the worst seats ever, I guess I shouldn't even say seats we got kicked out of our seats from the late comers that just think they can squeeze in! I was so mad I was sitting in my chair and then next thing I new was I was looking at peoples butts! I was like excuse me! and he was like oh sorry but didn't move. How rude..... Next year I guess it is back to our normal spot! People are so rude and they don't even seem to care about what they are doing!!! Sorry had to vent for a minute.

We had a fun weekend, Kenadie and I went down to SLC to visit aunt Mishell. We left here Friday evening and stayed the night at her place then on Saturday she took us to the zoo.
Yes who goes to the zoo when it is 101 outside.....you guessed it we did!!!
We were sad that we didn't get to see the baby elephant but at least we got to see this one!

Kenadie is right on track she is just a little bigger than the infant gorilla. She got to see the big gorilla up close he came right over to the glass. It kind of scared her she grabbed on it my shirt pretty tight.

This is one of the last animals we saw. Kenadie was so tired and was very hot....she was ready to be done.

Just after seeing the giraffe she put her head down on my shoulder and took a nap. We didn't even have a chance to ride the train while she was awake so we gave our tickets away!!

Thanks for a great weekend Mishell and for letting us come and enjoy time away from our everyday life!

Kenadie had her Neo-Natal follow up appt on Monday that is held by the State of Utah and she was seen by a Physician, Psycologist, Nutritionist, Audiologist, Opthamologist from PCMC. It was a long day but very good. She passed all of them with flying colors. The Dr was amazed that she has done as good as she has for being as tiny as she was. He was impressed with the things she has accomplished and the many things she escaped in the NICU. It makes me feel really good. Kenadie is up to 17 pounds 5 ounces. WOWSER!!
Just being as cute as can be at the park in Hyde Park during a family reunion on Saturday.

And YES.... we have a crawler!!! Kenadie is all over the place. 2 weeks ago I had just got done changing her pants and went to grab something in the other room and as I started to walk out of the room there she was. I was like what...... I was so excited for her but now I am so worn out!!

Kenadie loves to pull herself up to things and walk around them and she has even let go and stood by herself. I am so proud of my little girl for the accomplishments that she makes even though she may be a little slower at them than most she is amazing to me!!!

Last but not least........ Daddy said I couldn't be an AGGIE!!!!! Just kidding, the aggie bull was at the Ca County fair and she was so intrigued by him until I placed her in his arms and she was like get me out of her.

FINALLY!...... A tooth!

Kenadie got her first tooth it is on the left bottom side. I think more are on there way though the Doctor said that it looked like the top ones were close and I can see the other bottom one about to come through. (not the best picture but you can kind of see it :) )

Kenadie went for her year check up and everything is great, our DR. said it is time to start treating her like a 12 month old, she is on 2%milk....yeah no more formula!!!

She is still only 1% on the charts for her weight and 8% for her length and like 40ish% on her head. She has a real attitude and she isn't afraid to use it, she knows what she wants and how to get, I think I give in to easily! I am a sucker.....but I love her tons!!!

Can you believe it has been 1 year since Kenadie was born, today July 19 at 4:35 p.m. This sweet little girl entered our lives and they have never been the same. She has brought so much love and peace into my life, I love her to pieces!!! This is my sweetie just a few days after she is born, 1 lb. 15 oz.

We had Kenadie in her birthday suit for her cake eating moment and she seemed to like the plate- "paper cake" better than the real thing!!
She tasted a few licks but not much of a fan of cake I guess.

We went to Tammy's house for the fireworks, we were a little worried what Kenadie would do but she didn't even jump or cry at them. She watched them for a while then she got bored and was tired.

Today Kenadie and I woke up and got ready and went over to Willow Park and walked with the march of dimes/march for babies. I thought I should some how support it and figured I could handle the 5 mile walk. I was amazed and in awe when I arrived and saw so many people there is group t-shirts supporting a family member, I got a little teary and my lip quivered. As I was sitting there waiting for it all to start, my mind went back to my story with Kenadie and how many more people have had this same experience and yet some even worse.

The Mission of the march of dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality. The told us today that $400,000 was raised in just Utah alone.

Kenadie was not so sure about the balloon!

Logan Regional Hospital had the starting line up which was escorted by a fire truck for the first block, we are off.....

Kenadie did great she fell asleep after the first 2 blocks and slept the whole way.....I can't believe I made it 5 miles, one thing I know.....you need good walking shoes and that I am out of shape.

I am very happy that I walked the entire 5 miles with out giving up. but I am sure glad it is over:)

Kenadie & I went with my parents down to St. George for 6 days and what a blast we had. Kenadie was even pretty good in the car for the 6hour drive.

We went swimming and Kenadie loved it!

Tiannes friend Kali works for a Dentist and he does hand molds for babies so Kenadie went and had hers done. This is the end result....it is so cute, I love it and will cherish it forever!

Today Kenadie had her 9 month well check up. She was not so sure about having to go to the Dr again she cried when I had to undress her and then cried when I put her on the scale. Thank goodness no shots this time, they did have to prick her toe to check for enemia but she didn't cry with that. She is 14 pounds 11 ounces and is 25 3/4 inches long. She is on the charts finally! 1% on her weight and 5% on her length and 21% her head. Dr Brown was very impressed with her growth it is moving steady up the chart and the only thing jumping is her head circumference which he said that her brain is growing and getting the nutrients she needs and that her weight is going up steady but not jumping which would say she is just fat. He said that he was very happy with all that she is doing and the way she is growing and developing. It was a very good visit and I am again very thankful to my Heavenly Father for such a healthy little miracle that has filled 100% of my heart. I Love her SOOOOO much!

This past Wednesday we had to take Kenadie for her final synagis shot (I know I said last month was her last but they wanted to do one more) The nurse called her name and we went back to the room and Kenadie immediately started crying she new what was going to happen. We have to weight her before they can give the shot because the dose depends on how much she weighs. Kenadie is up to 13 pounds 13.4 ounces.....wowser! Anyway she cried the whole time and every time she looked at the nurse she would scream. I think that is a sign that your child has had to many shots when she knows what happens when you walk into the room :(

Today was a big day for little Kenadie, she rolled over from her tummy to her back. She did it 3 times and then she had, had enough. Growing everyday!Today we also went down to Ogden to an appt. we had with a program that is put on by they State of Utah, it is a neonatal follow up program. We checked in and then Kenadie was weighed and measured and she is the 50% , on the charts.....but that is adjusting her age to her real due date. She weighs 13 pounds 4 ounces. When they took her from me to get her height and to measure her head she cried, she had real crocodile tears, it was so sad. The ladies all felt so bad but they said you would never know that she was a preemie, she is doing awesome! Next we saw an occupational therapist, he got on the floor and played with her , he said she is doing everything that a 4 month old should be, Kenadie is also doing things that a 5 month old baby does. He was very pleased and said that we don't need to work on anything, just to keep doing what we are doing. Next we saw a pediatrician she looked at Kenadie's ears, eyes, listened to her heart and lungs, checked her reflexes, She said that she looked amazing and was very happy with her. She asked us about her brain bleed when she was born and I told her she had a grade one but it was resolved when she left the NICU. The pediatrician said well I think I will have you see a neurologist next, mean while Kenadie was blowing bubbles and talking and was being so happy, a few minutes later the Pediatrician came over and said after watching Kenadie I don't want you to see a neurologist, she doesn't need it. So we left there very happy with the results. As we were sitting there waiting in between appts we saw so many babies and little toddlers that were preemies and all of them looked like they had something wrong with them, I felt very blessed and happy again with the little miracle our little Kenadie is.

Just a few more pictures (not that there is enough) on this blog but I just love them. Things have been going good so far, Kenadie has had a little cold the last week and I am so ready for it to be done, I get nervous every time I hear her cough or her voice goes raspy all I think about it RSV. Tomorrow we go for the last synagis shot this year. I will be glad when they are done with but on the other hand they have truly been helpful with keeping her healthy.
Kenadie is getting so big and is so much fun, she smiles and talks all the time, I have even managed to get a few giggles out of her, She loves to look at story books and eat her hands, her hands are ALWAYS in her mouth, I sometimes wonder if she is teething.

Grandma Lamb gave Kenadie her first haircut the other day. We cut about a half inch off the top. It is crazy to think she is 7 1/2 months and already needs a haircut.

So the other day Dave called me at work, 15 minutes before I got off and said can you hurry home because Kenadie just had a blow out. He said he was going to put her in the tub but didn't know how to get the onesie off, I told him that I would be home as quick as I could and just to roll the onesie up and pull it over her head. I was half the way home and the phone rings and he was wondering where I was and that she was laying on a towel and she was leaking out everywhere. When I got home Kenadie was crying and I walked into the bathroom and he had just ripped the onesie down the sides and scared the poor little girl. We eventually got it all cleaned up. It was one year ago today that we got the great news from the Dr in Sandy that did the Invitro.....We were going to have a baby. What a perfect day to find out the great news and then this year get to spend it with this little amazing girl that has filled our hearts with so much love! I love you so much little Kenadie~thanks for letting me be your mother and to Dave thanks for all you do for us I love you! Happy Valentines Day to Everyone that has touched my life!

Kenadie's new toy the bumbo chair, she does pretty good in it for 10 minutes and then is tired of it, I am hoping that it will help her build upper neck/body strength so she will soon be able to sit up on her own. She looks so tiny in it. Tuesday night after work around 7 pm I gave Kenadie a bottle and as soon as she got 3/4 done with it she started screaming and screaming and acted like there was something seriously wrong and we tried everything for 4 hours and she was at the point of having a hard time catching her breath and if you moved her she screamed louder, I didn't know what to do so we made a trip to the lovely Emergency Room and wouldn't you know it when we got there and they started to look at her she shut right up and was talking to the nurse, can I tell you I felt so stupid! I wanted to leave before the Doctor came in, he came in and he said he thought maybe colic~seriously not at 7 months?! After 2 hours in the E/R and $150 later we headed home with a quite baby, she was fussy after all her bottles and she did end up with a low grade fever the next day, she must of had a small belly bug. Kenadie got her 3rd synagis shot as well today, poor little girl. Thank heavens only 1 more this year!

Okay this lovely Binky that I swear my kid would never have is something she can't live without! I have learned to bring a back up every where I go. On Sunday at church we were sitting in Sacrament meeting and she was chewing/sucking on it and she dropped it and it rolled and bounced 4 benches in front of us....just great! I couldn't see it for the live of me so I thought OK she will just have to have the cute nuk binky but no she threw a fit and we ended up out in the foyer still screaming her head off, so I tried to call Dave at home to have him bring a binky over but he didn't answer the phone~surprise, surprise. The diaper bag with the car keys is in the chapel on the bench, what was I supposed to do??? Kenadie settled down finally and the Sacrament was over and one of the Priests that was blessing the Sacrament came out with Kenadie's binky and asked "Is this yours" how the heck did he see that and where it went and how did he now I needed it......I told him thank you, you are a life saver! He must have seen it bounce and roll or something because it wasn't in the isle and his family was not anywhere near that seat. A silent pray answered!

Our cute little bug!Oh NO!!!! I think we may have a thumb sucker on our hands.......

The past few weeks, Kenadie has been so fascinated with her hands and the thumb always ends up in the mouth. She finds the left thumb faster and better than the right. Everytime I catch her with it in her mouth it makes me smile but I really don't want a thumb sucker, it is so hard to wing them from it and it ruins teeth.....hope it wont last long :)

Today Kenadie had her 6 month check up, I can't believe she is really that old. The Dr. was really impressed with how well she is growing, she weighs 11 pounds 1.8 ounces and is 23 inches long. Her head circumference is the only thing on the chart and that is just barely like 1%. She had 4 shots today the usual ones they give at 4 months plus the flu vacine, poor little girl~I am sure she feels like a pin cushion, she had her 2nd synagis shot last Wednesday and she cried so hard and held her breath that they had to blow in her face to get her to breath.
The Dr's office is teamed up with Reach out and read program and so every well visit she recieves a book, today she got one that is Baby's first animal book and the pictures are very bright and she loves to look at it, it makes me smile the way she is so interested in it. I have tried in the past to read to her but she would just cry-maybe it is time to try again :)
Dr Brown also said it is time to start feeding her fruits and veggies ~ how exciting that will be!

The other night Kenadie had rice cereal for the very first time. She did pretty good with it she got at least 5 spoon fulls down her and then she gagged and had had enough. Not to shaby for the first time. I wish I new how to down load video because we got it on video and it is so much cuter in motion.

Today when I got home from work and went out to get the paper there was a box sitting there with our names on it, I was confused because we hadn't orderd anything, when I looked at the return label it was was from Primary Children's Hospital, I knew exactly what it was and started to cry. When Kenadie was at Primary's (I blogged on this before) she was the healthiest premie in the NICU and they wanted her hand print to do a thank you card for Smith's for donating money so we gave them permission to use her hand and foot print only if they would give us a copy of it. When we left Primary's they never did give us a copy of it and I was a little sad, but now 5 months later when I opened the box tears filled my eyes and I cried, what a great present they sent to us!

I can't believe how fast time goes, today Kenadie turned 5 months , she is so much fun to have around, she keeps me very busy-I didn't realize it would be so involved and require so much work but I love every minute of it and wouldn't trade it for the world!

Kenadie has gotten so big, she know weights 9 pounds 9.7 ounces and she has found her voice, it is so cute to hear her. This little girl means the world to me and I love her to pieces!

Today Kenadie started the Synagis shot, she was not happy...these pictures were taken after the fact and any time I would talk to her she would pout and cry. I felt so bad for her, she has to have them every 28-30 days for the next 4 months. It is the shot they give premature babies or kids with lung problems to help during the RSV season. I am very happy they have it but it costs a pretty penny, each shot cost $1700 and the insurance will pay 80%....wowser!

Yes, SANTA I have been very, very good! Today we went to the mall and saw SANTA

When we got to the mall there was a line to see him and I told Dave that I felt dumb standing there but I really wanted a picture of her with SANTA, so we stayed.

I miss the really cute "chubby" SANTA'S.

Christmas is my favorite time of year, I have had a really hard time getting in the spirit this year but after the snowfall today and wrapping some presents I think I can finally say it feels like Christmas!

Today Kenadie had her ears checked and the Audiologist told me when the test
was done that he had good and bad news. The bad news was that he wouldn't see us again
and the good news was that Kenadie's ears are just fine and she can hear without any problems.
Just another blessing that has been sent our way with her.

At this time of year and especially being Thanksgiving, I would like to pause and give thanks and gratitude to so many things especially my Heavenly Father for the many things that I have been blessed with this past year, I don't think I would have ever made it with out his tender mercies and miracles that he has provided for me. I have felt him in my life and know that he is aware of me and that he does hear and answer every prayer. I am thankful to him for the chance that he has given me to be a mother to such a special little girl and a wife to a great man. I never thought I would have a chance to experience either one of these callings in this life. I am thankful for families and loving parents, I don't know were I would be without each and every one of you, you all have helped in so many ways and lifted me when I was low. I love you all and give thanks to you. I am thankful for the gospel in my life and for the many blessings that I receive from being a member. The list could go on and on....... I wish you all a very very Happy Thanksgiving and hope that you all ponder on the things that you are most thankful for at this time of year.

Gosh I love her so much!!!!

Kenadie had her 4 month check this last week and Dr Brown

said she was doing awesome.

She weights 7 pounds 12 ounces and is 20 inches long.

She isn't on the charts but she is trying hard to get there.

Kenadie also had her eyes checked this last Wednesday and the Doctor

said that her eyes are fully vascularized and developed and that he wouldn't need

to see her again unless we saw a problem. I was really nervous taking her there

because they say it isn't a pretty thing to watch....they have to clamp their eyes open.

When the Doctor put the eye drops in she kind of turned red and squirmed but never peeped and then when he came back she was sleeping and so he tried to look without the clamps and Kenadie totally layed there sleeping and he was able to look without it. Kenadie slept through the whole exam and was a very good little girl. Later that day we went to the ENT to check her ears and they were clogged with ear wax and so he had to dig that out and that is when she cried her eyes out, poor little girl-I felt so bad. He did a hearing test and she didn't pass but I don't think they did it right, the lady spent a whole 5 seconds on each ear and Kenadie was crying and moving around, how can you get a good reading with that? So on Wednesday we are headed back to the Audiologist at the hospital to have him do a hearing test. I will keep you posted on the results. No other news I believe at this point. Just growing like a weed and very very spoiled!!!!!

So it has been a long time since I have blogged....sorry, I can't believe how much time a baby can take from your day, but I am loving every minute of loving her. I started back to work on Monday the 17th, what a killer that was to have to leave her for 10 hours a day.

Kenadie not to excited to have me go back to work :) jk

Luckily my mom and dad and sister Keri are going to be watching her so that I don't have to take her to a day care where there is alot of kids and sickness around.

Grandpa loves (I think) spending time with Kenadie, probably not what he thought he would be doing after he retired, the other day when I went to pick her up, he asked if they could adopt Kenadie.

I knew Kenadie was in good hands but I thought I should leave some very strict instructions for Grandma and I didn't want her to loose them so this shirt was very fitting :) I am sure Kenadie got lots of love and kisses.

Kenadie's blessing dress has a story to tell.... Grandma Lamb made her dress from my great Aunt Terese and Zelpha's Temple robes that were made by their mom/my Great Grandma.
I feel so close to those that have gone on before us and know that they are not far and they have been Kenadie's gaurdian angel's through her short life. I feel very honored that my little girl could have a piece of something that belonged to those that have touched my live and were my best friends. Gosh I miss them so much, not a day goes by that I don't think about them and the fun times that we shared....Love you Aunt Terese and Zelpha!
Thanks mom for making such a special dress for my little girl and for putting up with me and my pickyness on how I wanted things done and for re-doing the dress "many" times. You are the best and we love you tons!

Saturday the 19th of October my mom gave me a baby shower and boy did we get showered with wonderful gifts, it was alot of fun being with such wonderful friends and family.Look at all the wonderful presents Kenadie received.
This is my wonderful cousin Shelly. She has helped me through this fun ride in the NICU she used to work in the NICU up until they moved. Thanks Shelly for all your wonderful advice and words of encouragment!
Look at the pile of cute clothes Kenadie received, she is going to be able to have a new outfit everyday for quite a while.....should I say SPOILED!

Kenadie has found her voice....After her Doctors appt on Thursday and she recieved her 2 months shots, I think she realized that she does have a voice and she uses it. It was so sad to see her get her shots 3 of them. It made me want to cry along with her. The next couple of days were a little yucky she was feverish and her o2 sats were everywhere but I think that is due to a falty machine. I had to call Dr Brown's office to ask him what I should worry about, I have no idea I have never done the mommy thing. I barely made it through the phone call without crying. LOL. Things today are good, she is still as cute as ever and I want to take her everywhere to show her off but I make myself be house bound I am not going to expose her to everthing and have her get sick so soon.....Snug as a bug
Machine for sale, works great....NOT!

You would think that if you payed $700 a month for this

machine it would be great.

It goes off every little movement and it is driving me

insane! She is low 70's and the next second she is high 90's I don't think so!!!! I have gotten so I only use it when she sleeps and then

just watch her closely in the day.

We are all soooooo tired!

Our first days home have been really fun, busy and I am tired! :) The first night she did really well and then last night is another story, I think I got a total of 2 hours of sleep, she didn't want to go to bed for nothing and when I would go lay her down she would moan and move around and that would set of the oxygen meter machine-kind of annoying.....I never know if it is reading it right or if it is just making up a number I don't understand how she can be low 80's and the next second high 90's. I still havn't heard the full loud cry yet she is such a good baby that way I sometimes wonder if she can cry.

A bitter~sweet day! Today after 79 days in a NICU setting,

Kenadie was released to come home. It was a very tearful

moment for me when the nurses all said goodbye and

that they were going to miss seeing her there,

I too, will miss them and the friendships we made.

Our little sweetheart all bundled up ready to get out of there.

I just want to thank the many wonderful nurses at LRH. Everyone of them had something to offer and we grew to love and enjoy all of them and the time that we spent there.

DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL
PROUD DADDY!

On the wall in Kenadie's room there is a saying that says "cherish the SMALL things in life" We truly have enjoyed this little bundle that has come into and blessed our lifes.
Today the NG tube that has been feeding Kenadie was removed and she looks so much better without that in her nose, the only thing left is the oxygen and we know we will be coming home with that. The time for her coming home is close at hand, and I am a little nervous but very excited to become a "full time" mommy instead of a drop in visitor at the NICU. This little girl has brought so much love and joy into my life, I don't know how I ever lived without her.
